Bone Health Clinic

  • Description

    To manage the adverse effects on bone density and fracture risk of hormonal therapies used as primary and adjuvant therapy for women being treated for breast cancer

    Patients undergo a DXA scan, clinical and biochemical assessment of risk factors associated with a reduction in bone mineral density and increased fracture risk.

    Treatment to prevent bone loss and improve bone mineral density and as such reduce fracture risk are discussed with patients and management plans including review are made.
